Sixpence - 12" Adopted Sign In or Register to add photos

Sixpence is a lovely traditional style teddy bear, made to look old and well loved. He is made from a sparse, distressed pale gold mohair with a darker gold backing. He has been given an antique look by careful plucking to create old worn patches, a minimalistic embroidered nose and mouth to look as if stiches are missing, foot pad embroidery stitches missing and various simulated 'repair' stitches. He has also been shaded to look 'grubby' with age. Sixpence is approximately 12" tall and 9" sitting. He is 5-way jointed with a cotter pin 'wobble joint' in his neck and nut and bolt joints in his arms and legs. He is filled with polyfibre stuffing and has plastic pellets in his tummy with some additional steel shot for a nice weight. Sixpence wears his genuine 1963 Sixpence around his neck on a simple black leather cord. He has my Lynton Teddy Bears fabric label sewn into his back seam and a removable swing ticket. Sixpence has now been adopted.
